We got tired of seeing the residents of our downtown apartment building, who FINALLY received the wonderful gift of vending services, have their lofty expectations shunned by lackluster service from the so-called “service provider” (a lazy guy with an attitude).

Week after week, multiple empty rows would go days without being restocked. Items often got stuck mid-vend which inevitably lead to frustrated customers abusing the machine. And the most infuriating thing was when the credit card reader was down for a whole week (on the bright side, there were no empty shelves that week!).

Enough was enough. Instead of joining the complaining bandwagon, we found a solution: Technology-based vending machines that use the power of A.I. to streamline the vending experience for the end-user. The problems we witnessed above are not a factor when you choose MegaBite Vending:

• Items getting stuck. With our Tap, Grab & Go experience, our machines operate just like a paid refrigerator. (1) Tap your phone/card to unlock the glass door, (2) Reach in and grab your items, (3) Close the door and walk away — our cameras and weight-sensors work together to determine what you picked up, put back and ultimately left with. You get charged 1 minute after the door shuts and automatically locks. A receipt is then emailed to you if you so choose.

• Limited / Fixed Options. The products that go into our machines for your residents/employees/customers are based entirely upon what they want. Whether it’s processed junk food, organically-grown whole foods or even Tylenol — there are plenty of adjustable shelves to suit all lifestyles.
